#TheMAG2019

Friday October 11th
All-day event followed by a Presentation / Trivia Night. Lunch provided
The Mulvaney Archaeological Games (MAG) is a one-day annual, grand event that seeks to test the skills of the seasoned veterans, and newcomer archaeologists alike in a series of trials and tribulations. As a CAS and ABACUS initiative, all Canberra consultants, ANU students, and academics are encouraged to compete in the single and groups events.

The spirit of the event is to test practical field skills of archaeology in both practice and theory. It will reward those who can combine efficiency, wit, and attention to detail. Each archaeologist has their style of the trowel and this event will test those styles against each other in the arena. For those who have yet to step onto the field, the MAG will provide an outstanding opportunity to dive into the deep end and learn some real skills.

We encourage networking and for people of all variety of different archaeological backgrounds to come together. There will be plenty of opportunities to swap stories and to learn from one another about what to do and not to do out on the field.
